SiteKiosk Online 1.7 is a cutting-edge kiosk and digital signage software solution designed to help interactive displays meet and exceed accessibility requirements.

These are set by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508. This latest software release makes it simpler than ever to ensure your terminals are accessible at the software level, while also providing new tools and support for peripheral devices to retrofit existing kiosks and remove barriers for users.

Key New Accessibility Features

  • Customizable Accessibility Menu: An overlay menu that can be activated and positioned anywhere on screen, with individually configurable functions – also available for Android.
  • Screen Reader Support: Includes an integrated SiteKiosk screen reader with adjustable reading speed and support for popular third-party screen readers, such as NVDA, Narrator, and JAWS.
  • Color Filters: Tools to compensate for color vision deficiencies.

  • Remote Activation via QR Code: Allows for remote control and support.
  • Volume Control: Adjustable audio levels for a better user experience.
  • Audio Device Selection: Lets users switch to compatible devices, such as induction loops for hearing aids.

Additional New Features

  • Edge Browser Engine Integration: Option to use the Windows system’s Edge (WebView2) browser engine for website elements.
  • Redesigned Element Properties: Improved performance and usability, with faster changes and no need to manually save updates.
  • New “Play Audio” Action: Play any audio file by clicking or tapping an element.
  • Revamped Publishing Dialog: Displays the current project on all clients and allows setting a default project for unassigned clients.
  • Upgraded Media Library: Redesigned for better organization and overview of media files.
  • Project Page Previews: Small preview images now help distinguish between projects, generated automatically when exiting the project editor.

This update also includes numerous bug fixes and optimizations to ensure smoother operation and enhanced performance.

Availability

SiteKiosk Online Version 1.7 is available immediately for cloud users. On-premises users will need to initiate the update manually.
