Support Request: Keyboard Disabled

Description

This is similar to ticket 26734. Windows 11 (23H2) on Dell Optiplex AIO 7400. Luckily SiteKiosk was set to not start on boot. They keyboard worked in BIOS but as soon as Windows started to load (spinning circle), power to the keyboard was disabled. Luckily, this time, the mouse and touchscreen continued to function. Updated the BIOS and device drivers but not change. Uninstalled SiteKiosk and after a restart, they keyboard was working again. Tried multiple keyboads. I did not try the keyboard combinations on the support forums as there was no power to the keyboard at all. Thank you!!!

Thank you for your inquiry. There are no known issues where SiteKiosk would cause your keyboard to disengage in that manner (no power). Could it be a system conflict due to security settings? It is highly possible in a domain environment. If you are in a domain, you can start with a fresh install of Windows and slowly check domain polices that may cause this issue.

The driver (sitekey.sys) always loads when Windows starts (even when the keyboard is not blocked).
We can assure, that there is no general problem with SiteKiosk (especially the keyboard driver) on supported Windows systems. Furthermore, the SiteKey driver fulfills the requirements from Microsoft and follows exactly the rules of Microsoft for this kind of driver.
